TipTrak™ bucket elevators deliver the gentlest handling, least spillage, lowest maintenance and quietest operation of any mechanical elevating device
Unique interlocking buckets virtually eliminate spillage
All TipTrak™ bucket elevator conveyors utilize a proprietary interlocking bucket system, with extra-deep buckets and jam-proof design.
Result: consistently reliable spill-free loading, conveying and discharge of a very wide range of materials.
The buckets are connected with a joint strip, forming a single, continuous and very stable conveyor. The only place conveyed material leaves the buckets is at the discharge—where TipTrak bucket elevators allow for a gentler cascading of product, further reducing degradation.
TipTrak™ bucket conveyors run on a single drive—horizontally and vertically—without transfer points. Product moves from one process to another without spillage, degradation, dusting or segregation of blended products.
A wide range of configurations and integrations is possible on a very small footprint.
The heart of TipTrak™ bucket elevator design is the patented TipTrak™ chain. Similar to a timing belt in design, the TipTrak™ chain combines the strength and positive drive of a chain with the benefits of a belt (no moving parts) and the corrosion resistance and long work life of elastomer.
Elastomer (BUNA-N/neoprene) is molded around and bonded to a stainless steel aircraft cable core, pre-stressed to prevent elongation. This unique design eliminates the need for sprockets, except at the drive end. At all other points, the chain runs in a flanged pulley, much like a V-belt in a sheave.
TipTrak™ bucket conveyor is a very quiet operator. The non-metallic buckets and chain operate quietly, without the racket and vibration of metal buckets and roller chains.
TipTrak bucket conveyors' design is rugged, heavy duty—and always has been. There are UniTrak customers with TipTraks operating almost continuously for more than 35 years now.
Minimal wear. Minimal maintenance. No roller chains to stretch. No bushings to wear out. And no fiddling with chain tensioners and periodic tension adjustment. The TipTrak™ bucket elevator's chain runs slack, and tension adjustments never need resetting after installation (some very large units over 100 ft. tall may need attention after their first few weeks of operation).
No moving parts in a TipTrak™ chain… easy to wash down.
Molded buckets and chain require no lubrication.
Low temperature buckets and chain are optional.
TipTrak™ components withstand heat up to 195°C (380°F).
